The Reina Sofía School of Music composes a work inspired by Jungle

Jungle, a strategic consulting firm that combines creativity, design, and technology, launches its annual report in a unique format: an original symphony based on the milestones, results, and integrations that defined the 2024 financial year. Titled “Business for Your Ears,” the project was developed by Casa Jungle—its in-house creative team—in collaboration with the Reina Sofía School of Music. The piece, divided into three movements and lasting 14 minutes, reinterprets the company’s most significant trajectory, decisions, and transformations of the last financial year in a symphonic key.

The symphony, created by composer and conductor Carlos Criado and conducted by musician and Musical Thinkers director Pedro Alfaro based on the company’s financial analysis, is structured in three movements that translate Jungle’s evolution into a musical language. Results reflects the company’s growth through metrics such as revenue, profitability, and expansion, incorporating rhythmic patterns inspired by a musical workshop in which a Jungle team participated. Integrations represents the incorporation of four new companies into the consultancy through a score of stylistic contrasts—from twelve-tone music to jazz with controlled improvisations—that expresses the uniqueness of each firm. And finally, Key Milestones chronologically covers relevant moments in 2024, such as contract awards, strategic projects, and talent additions, combining corporate storytelling and sound construction to create a cohesive and narrative conclusion.

The work was performed by the Eleutheria Septet, a group of musicians from the Reina Sofía School of Music affiliated with Jungle’s music patronage program: Gustavo Gil (violin), Jimena Rojas (violin), Hugo Hidalgo (viola), María Salvatori (cello), Nelson Jiménez (double bass), Óscar Tapie (trumpet), and Mariam Chitanava (piano). The recording was made in the School’s auditorium, consolidating the alliance between the two institutions and underscoring Jungle’s commitment to musical talent and culture.

The project includes a documentary that explains the musical challenge through the story’s protagonists; an artistic piece filmed at the Reina Sofía School of Music and directed by Manuel Zafra that represents the symphony in visual format and functions as a teaser; and a 128-page book divided into two parts that chronicles the consultancy’s milestones, accompanied by the complete score of the work and a CD with the recording of the symphony. The book was offset printed on 120-gram cream and green paper, bound in paperback with black thread and a black fabric spine. The hardcover cover is covered with lime green Gematex fabric, printed in black, and measures 200 x 260 mm. In addition, all three pieces are available in a YouTube video in which the score is translated into an Excel spreadsheet where each cell corresponds to a musical note, symbolizing the convergence between financial analysis and music.

The initiative was conceived and developed by Casa Jungle, Jungle’s in-house creative agency, specializing in applying creativity to the company’s various corporate touchpoints. Founded in March 2024, Casa Jungle is led by the creative duo of Xose Rodríguez and Gema Díaz and aims to make Jungle a culturally relevant brand, also at the corporate level. Business for Your Ears reinforces its purpose: to make the corporate world a space where creativity plays a strategic and transformative role.
