Jungle acquires Lúcid

The creative ecosystem, Jungle acquires the innovation and industrial design company Lúcid with the aim of expanding capabilities to help companies solve their business challenges in an increasingly dynamic, hybrid and environmentally and sustainability sensitive society. It’s the fifth acquisition since its IPO after the incorporation of the creative boutique PINK, the futures lab Invisible, the digital company FCK and the editorial project Libero

Lúcid is an innovative agency that uses design as a tool for transformation. Founded a decade ago in Barcelona by the mechanical engineer Pol A. Fantoba and the industrial designer Marc Fabra, this product design and phygital experiences agency combines industrial design with the digital and technological development to design products, services and spaces that have a positive impact on the user and the planet. During these 10 years they have won forty design awards, including Red Dot Design Award (Best of the Best), the most prestigious award in the sector (previously won by companies such as Apple, Ferrari or Samsung).

The company, formed by a multidisciplinary team of 25 professionals, stands out for its recognized international design style. It helped Vigar transform its everyday products into Amazon Best Sellers, developed a new generation of traditional tools for the historic brand Bellota, design the latest Kitchen Robot with IOT technology for Taurus, conceptualized an aesthetically disruptive router for Orange or even worked on the design of new phygital experiences in physic retail spaces for some leading companies in Spain.

Innovation focused on design, user & planet centric. This acquisition will allow Jungle to incorporate a more industrial thinking to the ecosystem to offer customer joint solutions and, if necessary, unified with other units of the group.

“Joining Jungle gives us the opportunity to continue growing alongside a powerful ecosystem of creative talent. Creativity has and will be our growth engine and Jungle offers us the perfect context to continue responding with excellence to the demands of the market, consumers and planet”, explains Pol A. Fantoba, co-founder & managing director in Lúcid.

As for Marc Fabra, co-founder & design director at Lúcid, he points out that Lúcid’s track record in the design and development of physical and digital products complements the needs of Jungle’s ecosystem of companies: “The product and physical spaces design has and will always have a relevant role in the experience business, thanks to which brands will connect with customers more than ever”.

“Our goal, since we founded Jungle, is to apply creativity throughout the value chain of a business to help it grow, and that includes the design of physical products and spaces. Moreover, Lúcid is based on a planet-centric philosophy and circular design capabilities that we know is the path we must take”, according to Jacobo Pérez del Pulgar, co-founder & ecosystem director of Jungle.

Jungle’s creative ecosystem was listed in Euronext París on March 4 with the aim of continuing its expansion process. It’s composed by a team of more than 200 employees and currently integrates the following independent companies: PS21, creative agency; True, communication consultancy with creative DNA; Redbility, product design and digital services; ES3, digital agency; PINK, creative boutique; Invisible, cultural and design future lab; FCK, creative digital agency and Libero, editorial project. J21 is creating a new company model that puts creativity at the center.
